I let the clay speak to me with every piece. It tells me the shape I am going to create. The sculpture of crystals is believed to hold vibrational energy and believed to transmit this energy to you and balance your emotional, physical and spiritual energies.
Raku firing is a very exciting process whereby pottery is removed from the kiln while at very high heat. I use a Raku style firing process by removing my pottery from the kiln at 1050 degrees. The horsehair is applied to the surface and burns away, leaving a black carbon imprint. Horsehair pottery is an artform of creating unique one of a kind designs that cannot be replicated.
