Enlightenment II

$1,050.00

15.5” x 7”

The sculptural element of black bamboo is considered to bring good luck. Often used in feng shui as it symbolizes water and wood elements.

Raku firing is a very exciting process whereby pottery is removed from the kiln while at very high heat. I use a Raku style firing process by removing my pottery from the kiln at 1000 degrees. The horsehair is applied to the surface and burns away, leaving a black carbon imprint. Horsehair pottery is an artform of creating unique one of a kind designs that cannot be replicated.
